A Villa San Juliette wedding always feels timeless. Surrounded by endless vineyards and glowing California light, this celebration blended romance, color, and effortless elegance from beginning to end. As a Santa Barbara wedding photographer photographing weddings in California, I’m constantly inspired by spaces like this that feel refined yet relaxed, grand but still intimate.
Right away, the energy of the day felt so genuine. They were incredibly easygoing, thoughtful, and honestly felt like friends by the end of the night. We laughed through portraits, moved through the day naturally, and created images that truly reflect who they are.
Their story began in college. Nick worked as the “hasher” for her sorority, washing dishes to make extra money. At the time, she was dating someone else, so he never shared his feelings, though he quietly asked her sorority sisters about her.
Years later, everything changed. He noticed she was newly single, reached out, and asked her on a date. From that moment on, they were inseparable. Seven years later, he proposed in Calistoga during their anniversary celebration.
Together they love new adventures, beach days with their mini bernedoodle, and exploring new restaurants. They’re true food lovers who enjoy tasting menus and special dining experiences, which reflects their joyful approach to life.
The wedding design drew inspiration from a European Tuscan garden set against the vineyard backdrop. Soft peach, apricot, coral, dusty blue, ivory, and fresh greenery created a dreamy palette that felt both colorful and refined.
Florals featured garden roses, ranunculus, lisianthus, dahlias, and delphinium arranged in lush, layered compositions. Meanwhile, reception tables brought warmth and elegance through lace chargers, gold flatware, delicate menus, and glowing hurricanes with taper candles on gold candlesticks.
During the ceremony and cocktail hour, the Mariposa String Quartet filled the space with modern songs, adding a romantic atmosphere with a contemporary touch.
I was completely obsessed with the bride’s gown by Rita Vinieris from Kinsley Couture Bridal. The movement, the structure, the softness, everything about it complemented the setting perfectly.
This celebration came together with an incredible group of vendors who brought the vision to life beautifully. Planning and design by Kreative Details by KD (https://www.kreativedetails.com/) ensured every part of the day flowed seamlessly.
The stunning floral design was created by Lori of Lori Boe Floral Design (http://loriboefloraldesign.com/), transforming the space into a romantic garden filled with color and texture.
For beauty, the bride worked with The Queen’s Bees Hair (https://thequeensbees.com/) alongside Shelby Henry MUA (https://www.shelbyhenrymua.com/), creating a soft and timeless look that photographed beautifully in the vineyard light.
Guests enjoyed a gorgeous cake from Just Baked SLO (https://www.justbakedslo.com/) along with treats from SLO Mama Sweets. Catering by Popolo provided an incredible dining experience, while Yes Cocktail crafted signature drinks for the celebration. Rentals from All About Events completed the refined design throughout the space.
California weddings hold a special kind of magic. The landscapes, the light, the emotion, everything comes together in such an organic way. This Villa San Juliette wedding captured all of it: vibrant color, meaningful connection, joyful moments, and a couple who truly enjoys life together.
