How Their Santa Barbara Courthouse Wedding Began
Jenna and Reese’s Santa Barbara Courthouse wedding is one that perfectly reflects their journey as a couple. They met through Engineers Without Borders at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, and their relationship blossomed from a strong friendship that lasted for four years. After Reese stayed for his Master’s Degree while Jenna was finishing her undergrad, their paths aligned when they ended up living on the same street.
In January 2015, they started spending more time together, which quickly turned into dating. Before long, they were officially a couple, and their love for each other deepened as they made future plans.
An Unforgettable Southeast Asia Adventure
After graduation, Jenna and Reese made an exciting decision to book a spontaneous five-week backpacking trip through Southeast Asia. They left just two days after their graduation, and on day one of their trip, they decided to stay together, marking the start of an incredible adventure.
After nine months of long distance, Reese moved to Santa Barbara, and they began building a life together in the beautiful city that would soon host their wedding.
Love for Nature and Adventure
Jenna and Reese share a passion for the outdoors that has strengthened their relationship. Jenna is an avid hiker, and Reese enjoys mountain biking. Together with their two pups, they explore Santa Barbara’s stunning trails, camping, and backpacking in places like the Lost Coast and East Camino Cielo. Whether baking vegan treats or experimenting with new recipes, they create memories together both in the kitchen and on the trails.
Now, almost nine years later, with their dogs and their home in Santa Barbara, Jenna and Reese were ready to get married.

Jenna and Reese’s wedding day was everything they had envisioned. We began the day at the luxurious Belmond El Encanto for their first look and portraits. The ceremony was held at the iconic Santa Barbara Courthouse, a stunning and historic location perfect for their intimate ceremony.
After the ceremony, we headed to their reception at Satellite SB and The Factory, where the celebration continued. The weather was ideal, and everything flowed smoothly from start to finish.
With 50-60 of their closest family and friends in attendance, the ceremony was heartfelt, emotional, and full of love. It was a perfect reflection of Jenna and Reese’s beautiful relationship and their journey together.
