1880 Union Hotel Wedding // Kate and Brad

Kate and Brad’s love story began when they met in Athens, GA. They connected through Tinder and decided to meet in person. Kate, being a bit of a nerd, asked Brad a series of questions known to make strangers fall in love. They hit it off immediately and spent their first date visiting a unique bear zoo and watching presidential debates with Kate’s friends. Before leaving, Brad received a loaf of banana bread made by Kate using her mom’s special recipe.

Their proposal took place in Sydney, Australia, where they were living at the time. Brad arranged a romantic picnic on Watson’s Bay, one of their favorite beach spots. Under the pretense of meeting friends, they took a ferry and that’s when Brad got down on one knee and asked Kate to marry him.

After spending time in Australia, they returned to the United States and settled in Charleston. They enjoy exploring wineries, breweries, going on waterfall hikes, playing tennis and golf, antiquing, and discovering new cities. They also cherish quiet moments reading together.

For their wedding, Kate and Brad wanted to create a unique and memorable experience for their guests. They decided to have a cake for each table, allowing everyone to participate in the joyous tradition of cutting the cake simultaneously. It was a delightful and inclusive gesture that brought everyone together in celebration.

Additionally, they added a touch of elegance with a champagne tower, a classic and visually stunning centerpiece. The champagne tower not only added a sophisticated element to the reception but also provided a sparkling toast to commemorate their union.

Their wedding took place at the charming 1880 Union Hotel in Los Alamos, California. This historic hotel provided a picturesque backdrop for their special day. Built in the late 1800s, the 1880 Union Hotel boasts a blend of Victorian charm and rustic elegance. Its vintage architecture and quaint ambiance created a romantic atmosphere that perfectly suited Kate and Brad’s wedding.

Their love story is a testament to their strong bond and friendship. From their first meeting on Tinder to their adventurous proposal and heartfelt wedding, they have created memories that will last a lifetime. As they continue their journey together, their love and joy will only grow stronger.
