W Fort Lauderdale Wedding // Gabriella and Timothy

As you all know, I’m a destination wedding photographer, which means I get to go to several places for wedding shoots to capture the beautiful moments shared by couples.

Gabriella and Timothy are an adventurous and romantic couple who love the outdoors. Not only that, but they also love spending time with family and traveling as much as possible. That’s, however, not the best part of their relationship. The best part is how they met.

Gabriella was his waitress at Nick’s Tomato Pie in Jupiter, FL. They fell in love right away and little did Tim know that this gorgeous waitress would marry him 6 years later in the same state where they first met.

Gabriella and Timothy are both from the state of Connecticut, and during the pandemic, they were in California, Tim was working remotely, and Gabriella had a job in the area.

During Gabriella’s birthday weekend, Tim proposed on a hike in Palm Springs, CA, at sunrise. And since they love California, they decided to book their engagement session here in Santa Barbara.

Their engagement session took place at Santa Barbara Courthouse and Mesa Lane beach. We had so much fun and the photos are stunning!!! And when they booked their venue in Florida, they reached out to me to see if I was available. Thankfully I was and they flew me cross country to be their photographer at their destination wedding in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Seeing them again felt like visiting old friends, and their family and friends are the sweetest people!

It wasn’t all sunshine and clear skies as the rain poured heavily on their wedding day. However, that couldn’t stop their love and shine, as we could still get some cute shots at the beach after the wedding ceremony.

It’s very important to check if the venue you want to book has a backup plan in case of Rain, or any other severe weather situations. Thankfully the W had great backup choices. As I have heard many times, rain on your wedding day is good luck!
