Ali and James Santa Barbara engagement session was pure perfection! They chose Elwood Bluffs in Goleta and brought their dog, Paddy, along for the adventure. From the start, the day felt easy and full of joy. The kind of session where everything flows naturally and nothing feels forced.

Elwood Bluffs is one of those locations that offers so much variety in one place. Open fields with the mountains in the background lead to dramatic cliffs and a quiet stretch of beach below. It feels wild and peaceful at the same time, which made it perfect for their session.

I’ll be photographing Ali and James’ wedding at the Ritz-Carlton Bacara, with planning by the wonderful Wedding Kate, and getting to spend this time with them before the wedding made the experience even more special.
